The Ombudswoman will be in Koper on 16 April to assist in the exercise of rights

Dr Simona Drenik Bavdek, Human Rights Ombudswoman, will be in Koper on Thursday, 16 April 2026. She and her colleagues will be available for discussions and consultations at the premises of the Municipality of Koper with all residents of the municipality and the wider region who believe that their human rights have been violated by state authorities, local community bodies, or holders of public authority.

Anyone wishing to file a petition or complaint, or to seek advice regarding potential violations of their rights, may register by calling +386 30 720 225 no later than Friday, 10 April.

The Human Rights Ombudsman of the Republic of Slovenia carries out visits outside its headquarters in Ljubljana in order to reach those who, for various reasons, are unable to visit in person. On average, representatives of the ombudsman visit different parts of Slovenia once a month. Those who register in advance are given the opportunity to present their concerns in person and report potential violations of their rights. This approach enables residents of Slovenia to exercise their rights more easily.
