Dr Simona Drenik Bavdek met with the Spanish Ambassador, Javier Herrero, for the first time today, in her capacity as Human Rights Ombudswoman. They discussed the mandate of the Slovenian Human Rights Ombudsman in comparison with the functioning of the Spanish ombudsman, among other topics.

Both the ombudswoman and the ambassador agreed that this meeting was an important step towards further international cooperation and strengthening human rights protection.
