In September the Ombudsman received representatives of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment and Punishment (CPT) for a brief visit. He acquainted them with conditions in Slovenian prisons and aliens centres and with the work of the police and psychiatric institutions.
