Representatives of civil society and the professional public are invited to a workshop on the cooperation of civil society organizations in the implementation of the obligations of states based on the international treaties of the United Nations on human rights, which will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the Law Faculty of the University of Ljubljana (Poljanski nasip 2, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia).

Workshop was organised by The Human rights Ombudsman of the Republic of Slovenija, the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana and Centre for Civil and Political Rights (CCPR-Centre), Geneva.

Objectives:

1. To deepen the understanding among CSOs of the UN Treaty Bodies’ review process;
2. To maximize the impact of the utilisation of review process by CSOs, including in the context of the follow-up procedure;
3. To support engagement with the UN Human Rights Treaty Bodies’ complaint mechanisms.
