On 23 and 24 March 2026, two members of the National Preventive Mechanism (DPM) carried out an unannounced visit to three educational groups and one residential group operating within the centre. The visits were thematic and focused on assessing the exercise of children’s right to be heard in the groups visited.

During the visits, the DPM members spoke with children and staff. They found that children are duly heard when expressing their opinions, proposals or complaints regarding their living arrangements, various activities, and other circumstances related to their treatment within the groups or the specialised centre. They also found that children receive appropriate feedback from staff in this regard.

A report on the visit will be prepared and first submitted to the specialised centre. After receiving its response, the report will also be forwarded to the Ministry of Education.
