The seminar "The Ombudsman and the EU Law", co-organised by the ombudsmen of the EU and Slovenia Jacob Soederman and Ivan Bizjak respectively, will start Monday in Ljubljana.
The purpose of the seminar is to strengthen knowledge of the EU law among ombudsman offices and similar human rights institutions of countries seeking membership in the European Union. In addition to EU officials, the seminar will be attended by representatives of Slovenia, Cyprus, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Rumania and Slovakia.
