Newsletter of the European Ombudsmen is for the second time appearing from the new editor and I would like to use this opportunity to thank you for your contributions, which are rather many and comprehensive. I have to admit that I was glad to hear many good words and positive critiques about the new style and appearance of the Newsletter. Thank you all! At the same time I owe apology to the office of the European Ombudsman; due to our mistake their contribution has not been included to the Newsletter Nr. 17. In the future we will try to do our best to avoid any similar inconvenience.
There is quite a large interest for Newsletter also outside the ombudsmen community and therefore I would like to ask you about your standpoint concerning the possibility of presenting the Newsletter also in the Internet. If there would not be any objection (copy right, confidentiality…) I would be glad to put the Newsletter on our home page (http://www.varuh-rs.si). I will expect your comments concerning this proposal until July 15, 1999.
In the Newsletter Nr. 17 I indicated that the contributions should be written in English. Translation from different respective languages is, also because of financial reasons, for the editor not possible. Contributions will be therefore published in the language as received.
