INSTITUTIONAL MATTERS

Subsequent to the General Election in September 2001, Mr. Arne Fliflet was re-elected by the Storting (the Parliament) as the Norwegian Parliamentary Ombudsman. Arne Fliflet has thus embarked upon his fourth 4 years period.

INTERNATIONAL CONTACTS

• 2 June, Head of Division Morten Holmboe, participated in a seminar in Latvia arranged by Nordisk Ministerrad on implementing an ombudsman.
• 19 - 21 September, Ombudsman Arne Fliflet participated in a meeting in Brussels arranged by the European Ombudsman.
• 21 - 24 November, Ombudsman Arne Fliflet and Head of Division Torkjel Nesheim, participated in a seminar in Zurich for the European ombudsmen.
• 18 - 19 January, Ombudsman Arne Fliflet participated in an Ombudsman Seminar in Amman, Jordan
