The term "applications" denote new cases (i.e. first-time filings), while "letters" indicate the total correspondence received by the Office of the CCRP from citizens.

In July 2000, employees of the CCRP received 313 petitioners and held 810 conversations by phone, providing with explanation and advice. A total of 6220 letters in 4564 in undertaken cases were sent to citizens. 

In July 2000, the Commissioner for Civil Rights Protection formulated:

  • 24 general issue-related applications;
  • 1 motion to the Constitutional Tribunal requesting that specific regulations be declared in violation of the Constitution of Poland;
  • 1 notification to the Constitutional Tribunal of the CCRP's accession to proceedings involving a constitutional grievance;
  • 11 extraordinary appeals and applications for annulment.
