As successor to the Vice President of the EOI prof. dr. Adam Zielinski, prof. Andrzej Zoll has been appointed as the new Ombudsman of Poland.

Mr Tom Frawley has been appointed as the new Ombudsman of Northern Ireland as of 1 September 2000.

Mr Enrique Mugica has been appointed as the new national Defensor del Pueblo of Spain.

Seminar on Ombudsman and the Law of the EU postponed

The seminar on Ombudsman and the Law of the European Union, which was planed to be held in Bucharest in mid October, 2000, has been postponed to April 12-13, 2001.
