Ombudsman's comment on the refererndum about "erased people" in Slovenia

Human rights ombudsman of the Republic of Slovenia Matjaž Hanžek made a comment on an outcome of the referendum about “erased people” in Slovenia: “Sooner or later, the government and the politicians will have to resolve the situation and this in the way that the Constitutional Court had ruled. It is a bit strange and disgraceful that solutions to violation of human rights continue being blocked. Some people, who keep complaining about violations of human rights, at the same time also keep investing calmly all their energy into this being done in other areas, too.”

Ombudsman Hanžek is convinced, that a systemic law on the erased without discriminatory demands also needs to be adopted as soon as possible.
