Ombudsman Wants Her Office to Remain Strong, Independent

Ljubljana, 10 December (STA) - Human Rights Ombudsman Zdenka Cebasek Travnik wants her office to remain a strong and independent institution in the face of mounting complaints that it receives from citizens. "It may seem that the rising number of petitions is a poor record for a society, but it can also be understood as people being increasingly aware of their rights," Cebasek Travnik said at a reception she hosted on Human Rights Day on Monday.
