Human Rights Ombudsman Peter Svetina paid a working visit to Rafael Ribó, Catalan Ombudsman and Regional President for Europe at the International Ombudsman Institute, in which more than 100 ombuds institutions participate.

After their first meeting in May 2019 in Barcelona, ​​today's visit is a continuation of good bilateral cooperation aimed at exchanging experiences between the institutions. Intensifying activities at the international level, both within the framework of established ombudsman associations and direct bilateral relations with colleagues from abroad, is one of the main priorities of the Ombudsman Peter Svetina.

At the same time, the experience so far shows that the HR Ombudsman in Slovenia with his work and results can certainly sovereignly share the experience from his practice with other institutions in the field of protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.
